I didn’t realise that cold drinks- even though they were healthy ones like fresh juice and water- could mess with my system so much. Thank you for pointing that out to me. I also feel much better after (mostly) giving up my daily nut habit. It’s insane how even when you think you’re being healthy, some things just aren’t right for you and your doshas at that time.- M.A.

(Mel) was so supportive and I needed that, especially while I did not feel like myself. Since my accident I struggled to eat, sleep, do any self care. I had acid reflux, bloating, constipation, memory, mobility issues, mood issues. Over a span of a year, I started to see myself have ideas because I had advice and these days it helps me to ground myself so that I can listen to my needs and nourish myself. Also, sharing pictures of your tongue is a great icebreaker :) Mel is knowledgeable and she is sharing that with patience, kindness and good sense of humour. I’ve loved Mel’s Mum and baby class. Having never done a pilates or yoga class before, I’ve found this hits the right balance of being accessible and challenging with adaptations as needed. I just wanted to thank you for another great class this week! The exercises are doable and challenging and I love the fact that you always check round the room on people’s form. For me, it’s really important that the focus is on working your muscles in a safe way and I feel that is done in your classes with you giving different levels of difficulty.
I love the fact that there is no judgement in the class- I’ve never been a very flexible person and I’ve always felt a bit embarrassed when stretching as my movement is so limited, but you encourage everyone to do what feels right for their body and not to hit an unrealistic target.
It’s a lovely, supportive group of mothers coming together and everyone at some point has had to tend to their baby during a class and I love how that is normalised that we can do this around/with our babies and not trying to achieve ‘perfect’ workout.- Zohreen (Mum of two), Beaconsfield

I’m really enjoying yoga circuits with Mel- it’s great to do something for me, and not my baby, for once. Mel encourages you to go at your own pace and creates a safe space where your baby can be a baby without any fear or embarrassment of disturbing others. Mel’s class isn’t just a yoga class, it’s a holistic postpartum class which helped me immeasurably over the past 9 months. Mel’s knowledge of the female body, the impact of pregnancy and birth and how to rebuild strength is why I love this class so much. I have learnt a lot from her as well as gaining core strength that I didn’t even have pre-pregnancy!
The relaxed atmosphere and wonderful bunch of ladies makes me feel totally at ease breastfeeding my baby or changing her in class and totally non-judged if she decides to have a meltdown.

I love the relaxed nature of the class- not just the subject matter, but the whole vibe. I like how there is no pressure or expectation on yourself or to make the kids quiet, but rather to go at your own pace and attend to them as necessary.
